Decision: Red Daze

Game crashes often, even crashed my computer so bad my screen flashed pink and purple one time. Never seen anything like that in my life. When it makes it in game there's a few bugs I encounter often such as npcs getting stuck in terrain and spazzing out, menus closing as soon as I open them, and survivors picking fights even when I keep quite a distance between my group and zombies. Has potential to be a fun little arcade shooter but as it is right now I recommend you avoid it until it gets fixed or pass this game up entirely and play other games.

Bought this game on sale as it doesn't look like it's worth the full price and was pleasantly surprised by it. I bought it because it looked like an old action RPG's, but instead of a fantasy setting, it was post-apocalyptic. The game leans towards base building and survival mechanics which I don't mind, I hope there will be more new content in the future, as the game fitting to add more to it with updates or DLC.

A lot of effort went into the little details, shadows cast by trees from the light of the gun flash light while around thick brush etc. The perspective preserves the top down systems of all the previous games but now allows for rotation of the camera view. The only real negative is a bug that causes inventory to shuffle itself almost every purchase, sale, or upgrade but doesn't detract from playability, but did make it difficult to realize that items (gear, weapons) are color coded by tier, and didn't figure that out until the end of the first play through. Adding the ability to sort items by coloumn would be a nice addition. Great game though regardless!! Lastly being able to chose the game version is great, latest playthrough I was nearly complete when the game was updated and prevented use of the CE table I was using and basically made it unplayable with the amount of stuff I had in inventory. Not a problem, rolling back to an earlier version is really simple.

I loved the predecessor flashgames and hoped for an updated PC-Version. First of all you can not skip any of the annoying intro movies. This is especially bothersome if you have to restart often. Second of all you can not change the resolution in game. Third of all if you try to change the resolution you get stuck in the menu and can only force-quit. Again: the predecessors were awesome games, so this is a very sad decline of quality in comparison.
